Stuttgart are expected to sell Man United target Angelo Stiller for €50m (£43m) next summer, according to reports in Germany.
Sky Sport Deutschland claim that the midfielder’s valuation has been “set” and he is open to a potential move at the end of the season.
Stiller was linked with a switch to Old Trafford during the last transfer window but the Red Devils never firmed up their interest.
However, with Ruben Amorim’s side keen on purchasing an “important midfielder” in the New Year, a move for the German international may come under consideration once again.
What do fans need to know about Stiller?
The 24-year-old came through Bayern Munich’s youth team before leaving for Hoffenheim on a free transfer in 2021 in order to get more first-team football.
Stiller spent two seasons with Die Kraichgauer prior to his €5.5m transfer to his current team, Stuttgart, in August 2023.
During his first campaign at the MHP Arena, he helped them to a 2nd place finish in the Bundesliga, finishing behind Bayer Leverkusen and ahead of his former club Bayern.
Stiller received his first international cap at the start of the 2024/25 season, coming on as a substitute during a UEFA Nations League group fixture against Hungary.
Man United are targeting several midfielders
Stiller is by no means the only target on the shortlist as the Red Devils look to strengthen their options in the middle of the park.
Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton, Brighton’s Carlos Baleba, Borussia Dortmund’s Jobe Bellingham, Atletico Madrid’s Conor Gallagher and Sporting Lisbon’s Morten Hjulmand have also been mentioned as possible candidates. We have rated some of the targets in this post.
Stiller would arguably be cheaper than some of the other names on the list, but he is unlikely to be available in January.
