Harry Maguire has revealed that his uncertain Manchester United future is playing on his mind this season.
The centre-half is now in the final eight months of his deal at Old Trafford, meaning he could open talks with foreign clubs in January ahead of becoming a free agent next June.
Harry Maguire’s heroics steal the headlines on Monday morning

Thankfully, he hasn’t let such uncertainty impact his performances, with last night’s sensational display at Anfield marking one of the most triumphant showings of Maguire’s Red Devils career.
Not only did the Englishman make five final-third passes and have three touches in the opposition’s box, he made eight clearances – four of which were headed – and four recoveries (Fotmob).
Most notably, however, Maguire rose the highest to head home from an inch-perfect lofted cross from Bruno Fernandes to restore United’s lead in the 84th minute, ensuring all three points were taken back to Manchester upon the full-time whistle.
He sent the travelling United faithful into a frenzy when they watched his effort fly past Giorgi Mamardashvili to make it 2-1 with just minutes left to play before securing United’s first win at their arch-rivals’ stadium in nine-and-a-half years.
Will Maguire leave United next summer?

It’s thought that talks are ongoing between Maguire and United chiefs to potentially have him sign a fresh contract in M16 – one that would see his tenure extended beyond the seven-year mark.
Nothing is set in stone yet, though, so he is approaching the campaign as if it will indeed be his last in a red shirt.
“I’ve been here seven years now, so it’s been tough for the seven years not getting that win [at Anfield],” said the 32-year-old.
“It’s been on my mind a little bit, to be honest. I’m in my last year now, so this could be the last time I played at Anfield for this club, so it’s really important that I’ve come here and tick that one off because it has been playing on my mind.”
