1 assist, 3 key passes, 100% long balls: United star dazzles in huge victory for national team

Manchester United had three players in action on international duty yesterday.

Matheus Cunha

The Brazilian international played 80 minutes of his side’s 5-0 friendly win versus South Korea.

He had one shot on target in the match but could not find the back of the net.

Cunha grabbed an assist when he played an expertly weighted through ball to Vinicius Junior, who made no mistake whilst one-on-one.

The United attacker made three key passes and completed 100% of his long ball attempts.

The 25 year old also won both his tackles and four of his seven ground duels in an impressive outing.

Casemiro

Cunha was not the only Brazilian United player to grab an assist.

He laid the ball off for Rodrygo who slotted in Brazil’s second of the match.

Casemiro made two key passes and completed 90% of his passing attempts.

The Brazilian midfielder general also won 100% of his tackles and aerial duels. He also came out on top in three of his four ground duels in a strong performance.

Benjamin Sesko

The Slovenia international scored in his last two Premier League appearances before the international break but could not break the deadlock for his side versus Kosovo in a 0-0 draw.

It wasn’t for a lack of trying though as he ended up with five shots on the night.

One of his shots was on target and he had one effort that was blocked.

Sesko also made one key pass in the match but could only complete nine passes in total.

The tall striker did win his only aerial duel but could only manage to come out on top in one of his five ground contests.
