Confirmed United XI vs Burnley: Onana, Dorgu, Sesko axed as Amorim makes wholesale changes

Andre Onana has been dropped from the Manchester United side to face Burnley this afternoon with his Manchester United career hanging in the balance.

Onana made two high-profile errors against Grimsby in midweek that helped consign United to one of the most humiliating cup exits in their history.

Defence

Altray Bayindir returns in Onana’s place, although he might soon find himself in another battle for the number 1 jersey as United close in on the signing of Royal Antwerp’s Senne Lammens.

The back three today is Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt and Luke Shaw.

Harry Maguire and Ayden Heaven return to the bench with Tyler Fredricson left out of the squad. Nouss Mazraoui returns from injury to take his place on the bench, leaving Lisandro Martinez as the only player left on the injury list.

Wing Backs and Midfield

Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro return as the central midfielders.

Diogo Dalot and Amad are the wing backs, with Dalot likely to be on the left side.

Patrick Dorgu drops to the bench.

Forwards

Mason Mount will play on the left of the front three, with Matheus Cunha at centre forward and Bryan Mbeumo on the right.

Benjamin Sesko drops back to the bench.

The full list of substitutes is as follows: Onana, Maguire, Heaven, Dorgu, Mazraoui, Mainoo, Ugarte, Zirkzee, Sesko.

Kick-off at Old Trafford is at 3pm.
