Manchester United need to focus on player sales if they are to add to the three signings they have already completed in this window.
Following Benjamin Sesko’s arrival, Ruben Amorim has no more use for Rasmus Hojlund. The head coach made that clear by not even subbing him on against Fiorentina in the last pre-season fixture.
The Dane had declared his intention to stay and fight for his place, but INEOS are keen to get rid given his dismal form last campaign.
AC Milan are reportedly in the lead, having agreed a loan fee with the Red Devils. However, they are not the only teams in the fray with four other Serie A clubs also chasing his signature.

Interestingly, The Athletic have now revealed that a Premier League side is also looking at the Denmark international.
Newcastle United, who look like they will be forced to sell Alexander Isak, are eyeing United’s No.9 to fill the void.
Apart from the Magpies, there is also interest from Borussia Dortmund, and RB Leipzig, managed by Erik ten Hag, the coach who brought Rasmus Hojlund to Old Trafford.
“Clubs such as Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Leipzig and Newcastle are taking a look at Hojlund, who at present insists he wants to stay and fight for his place.”
The current summer window has been one to forget for Eddie Howe’s side, having lost to United in three separate transfer battles.

They were interested in Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo as well as Sesko, but all three ended up rejecting their overtures in favour of a move to the Theatre of Dreams.
INEOS will be hoping, given the increased interest, that they can offload Hojlund on a permanent basis instead of having to agree a loan with an option to buy, as was the case with Milan.
It would be strange to see Newcastle replace Isak with a striker who managed only four Premier League goals last term. United won’t care though.
Selling the 22-year-old, while also getting rid of his wages, would open up the chance for the 20-time English league champions to possibly go after Carlos Baleba as well as a new goalkeeper.
