United’s chase for 6’5 Serie A sensation takes unexpected turn after latest development – report

Inter Milan defender Yann Bisseck has reportedly made a decision regarding his future.

The 24 year old has been linked with a switch to Manchester United this summer window.

Ruben Amorim’s side are in a transition phase, with the Portuguese manager determined to succeed despite a turbulent 2024-25 season.

So far United have signed Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, adding that much needed spark to the attack.

On the defensive end, United’s only signing is the 18 year old promising left back, Diego Leon.

With Lisandro Martinez being injury-prone, Amorim would be looking at a solid centre back addition to bolster his side.

Inter’s Bisseck would have been a solid option to partner the likes of Matthijs de Ligt and Harry Maguire, however, Italian reports reveal that the player is likely to remain at his current club.

Bisseck makes a decision regarding his future

According to Matteo Moretto (via FCInterNews), the German is expected to stay at Inter this season.

He states: “Cristian Chivu is strongly backing the German defender. He wants to stay at Inter barring offers that are truly impossible to turn down from European clubs.

“However, the situation hasn’t changed in the last few days. Therefore, chances are very good that Bisseck will stay.”

Bisseck reportedly has a release clause of around €60 million to €70 million.

With United already spending big on their attack while also attempting an audacious deal for Brighton’s Carlos Baleba, it seems unlikely that they will break the bank to sign a centre back this window.

Unless Amorim changes his transfer plans last-minute, this deal seems unlikely.
