Man United Tipped To Sign TWO Strikers Worth £129M If ‘Blockbuster Swap Deal’ Comes Off

Manchester United “could still make a move” for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko even if they land Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson in a “blockbuster swap deal”, according to reports.

TEAMtalk claim a straight swap between the Red Devils and Chelsea for Jackson and Alejandro Garnacho is possible, with both players being valued at £60m.

Such a deal would see the transfers done separately as it looks better on the club’s accounts for PSR reasons, but effectively, it would be a net zero exchange.

That would then free up resources for United to sign Sesko if they manage to offload Rasmus Hojlund before the end of the summer.

Sesko is not available on the cheap

While United have had internal discussions about making a move for the Slovenian international, the finances required to make the transfer happen would be significant.

There is a release clause in Sesko’s contract, but it is reportedly worth upwards of €80m (£69m). It would need to be paid in full or Leipzig could demand more than that if Ruben Amorim’s side want to pay in instalments.

The forward’s wage demands are also expected to be high, as he is already earning £166,000 a week after signing a new contract with Leipzig last summer.

Man United may find it difficult to find a buyer for Hojlund

As mentioned, any deal for Sesko will probably depend on a striker leaving Old Trafford, and there is no guarantee that will happen before the transfer window closes on September 1st.

Inter Milan were Hojlund’s main suitors but they have subsequently signed another striker, Parma’s Ange-Yoan Bonny, instead.

There are reports that Juventus could make a move for the Denmark international but the Bianconeri are also considering other options, such as Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez and Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani.
