One of the primary objectives of Manchester United’s window is to shed the club of unwanted players in the squad.
Manager Ruben Amorim has identified numerous squad members that do not fit his vision, such as Jadon Sancho, Antony and Marcus Rashford.
The club is currently having trouble offloading these players and one attacker who seems to be running out of options is Garnacho.
Rising Tension
The Argentine was a key first team regular last season but he publicly criticised the boss after being left on the bench for the Europa League final.
In response, Amorim reportedly told Garnacho in a meeting that he had no future at the club and that he should find a new team before the start of the season.
What’s more, the player enraged fans and the club by posting a picture of himself in an Aston Villa shirt with Marcus Rashford’s name on the back.
Options dwindling
Garnacho has made it clear that he prefers a move within the Premier League as Villa and Chelsea have both expressed interest in the player.
SSC Napoli were an option in the winter as they tried to sign him but it appears they have moved on from the Argentina international.
Football365 report that “one option for Alejandro Garnacho to end his Manchester United purgatory has been ruled out after Napoli reached an agreement to sign PSV winger Noa Lang.”
A move to Italy seemed possible but “Garnacho will now have to find a different next step after the Italian club secured an alternative option in his position.”
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano posted on X that “PSV Eindhoven and Napoli have exchanged documents for Dutch winger to join the Italian club.”
The deal is a €28m package with a sell-on clause agreed and long term deal in place which will see Lang make €2.8m net per season.

Garnacho has no future at United
With pre-season training having started on Monday for many clubs, including Man United, Garnacho’s options are running out.
Chelsea may still be a possibility but they have spent heavily while Villa have financial constraints to manage.
What is clear is that Garnacho has no future at Old Trafford under Ruben Amorim and his sale would unlock a significant amount of cash to spend this summer window.
