96% pass accuracy, 2 key passes, 80% dribbles: United star puts in imposing display on international duty

Manchester United players were involved in another busy evening of international football.

Noussair Mazraoui impressed again for Morocco after grabbing a crucial assist versus Niger last time out.

The 27 year old put in an imperious display as Morocco ran out 2-0 winners over Tanzania. He had 102 touches of the ball and completed 96% of his passes in the match.

Mazraoui also made two key passes and completed three out of his four crosses on the night. He tortured the Tanzanian defence all evening as he completed a highly impressive 80% of his dribble attempts. The fullback was also strong in defence as he won seven out of his 10 ground duels.

Manuel Ugarte also played the entire 90 minutes of Uruguay’s 0-0 draw with Bolivia in a World Cup qualifier. He made two key passes on the night but could only complete 64% of his passes in what was a game of attrition.

To highlight the battle like nature of the game, Ugarte competed in an incredible 24 ground duels but only came out on top eight times as he was well-matched for bite by the Bolivian midfield.

The 23 year old made a total of six tackles in the match, two interceptions and two clearances. He also got forward and had one shot off target and one effort that well blocked by the Bolivian defence.

Victor Lindelof had a much calmer evening as his Sweden side demolished a youthful Northern Ireland side 5-1 in Stockholm. He played the full match and made five clearances. He won all three of his aerial duels but only came out on top in one of his four ground battles.

The experienced defender had plenty of time on the ball as he had 83 touches and completed 96% of his passes.

Finally, James Scanlon represented Gibraltar in a 0-4 defeat to Czechia.

In what was a stern test for the youngster and his national team, he only managed to complete 30% of his pass attempts but he did manage one key pass. The 18 year old also attempted 10 ground duels but could only win three of them as Gibraltar struggled to get into the game at all.

Nonetheless, another 90 minutes in senior international football will only do the talented youngster the world of good in the long run.

Proud owner of such niche shirts such as Kleberson, Eric Djemba-Djemba and Gary Neville. Grew up pretending to be Ruud van Nistelrooy and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the back garden, with little success.
