“Club chiefs believe…” inside sources respond to growing rumours Ruben Amorim is set to be fired – report

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim appears to be secure in his role despite his turbulent start to life at Old Trafford.

Last weekend, Man United slumped to a frustrating 1-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur – their third loss to the North London club this season.

As a result, Amorim’s team has suffered three losses in their last four Premier League matches, which include a humiliating 2-0 loss at home to Crystal Palace and another 3-1 Old Trafford loss to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Still, even as his team continues to struggle in the English top flight, it appears as if United executives remain confident that Amorim is the right manager to take the club forward.

GIVEMESPORT reported that Amorim retains the confidence of INEOS as manager at United.

“Ruben Amorim’s control at Manchester United is already being cast into some doubt, but sources are adamant his position at Old Trafford is safe for the foreseeable future,” the report read.

“Reports claim there are figures within the Manchester United dressing room who feel they are not being set up in a way that can lead to positive results on a regular basis,” the article continued, referring to Amorim’s 3-4-3 formation, which is unconventional for United.

“It has emerged that some players are hopeful Amorim will tweak his tactical approach to better suit the current squad. However, club chiefs believe that a lack of conviction from past managers has been a major issue, and they are satisfied that the former Sporting head coach should not abandon his principles.”

“As such, sources close to Manchester United are making it clear that there are no considerations to parting ways, despite his challenging start to life at Old Trafford,” the report concluded.

Despite Amorim’s tough start to life in the Premier League, the Portuguese manager has achieved some success in other competitions, including the UEFA Europa League and the FA Cup.

United’s 2-1 win over Leicester City sees the team progress to the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Additionally, United gained automatic qualification to the Europa League knockouts thanks to their strong finish in the group stage of the competition.

While Amorim may not have enjoyed a flawless season to date, it must be acknowledged that he has faced the challenge of working with a deeply troubled, limited squad with minimal winter transfers. While the team may not be used to his playing style, it might be best for Amorim to persist with his vision, particularly as he seeks to break bad habits at the club.
