4-3-3: Predicted Manchester United XI v Crystal Palace; Sabitzer on bench

Manchester United return to Premier League action this weekend against Crystal Palace.

The fixture will be held at Old Trafford at 3pm on Saturday (4/2) a rare traditional kick-off time for Erik ten Hag‘s side.

This is the second time in the space of three weeks that United face Palace, after a 1-1 draw at Selhurst Park, following a postponement earlier in the season.

Palace are expected to be without winger Wilfried Zaha due to injury, while Christian Eriksen misses out for the Red Devils.

Manchester United have a lot more options than the last Crystal Palace fixture. Anthony Martial and Jadon Sancho are available, while Diogo Dalot has returned to training.

Marcel Sabitzer could also be involved, taking Christian Eriksen’s place in the squad, however, Scott McTominay is out injured.

Probably the best outcome for Sabitzer is a place on the bench. Erik ten Hag is likely to go with a very similar team to the one which lined up in midweek.

David de Gea will return in goal instead of Tom Heaton, while the defence could remain unchanged.

This would see Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane and Aaron Wan-Bissaka continue as a back four.

We do not anticipate changes elsewhere either. Casemiro, Fred and Bruno Fernandes are expected to continue in midfield.

Marcus Rashford, Wout Weghorst and Antony will likely make-up the attack, with Rashford coming back in for Alejandro Garnacho.

Martial and Sancho will likely play a part from the bench. This will be Weghorst’s first Premier League home game at Old Trafford, against the side he made his United debut against.
