Manchester United will be hoping for a win against Sheffield United this weekend, here’s our predicted XI.
Erik ten Hag will be encouraged ahead of this weekend’s game after positive injury news for Manchester United which broke this week.
However, one blow will be the absence of Casemiro who is injured. Although many are seeing him being missing as a positive instead.
Coming up against the league’s worst team in Sheffield United, this could be a huge opportunity for Ten Hag to lay a marker down.
In order to do so, he will need to field a strong line-up which is exactly how we see him going.
Here is our predicted XI…
So, looking to build upon the back of Manchester United’s win over Brentford before the international break, we expect Ten Hag goes full strength.
That includes a hopefully rejuvenated Andre Onana in goal. Onana will be keen to put his mistakes behind him and begin to show his class.
MORE UNITED STORIES
Diogo Dalot will continue at right-back while a returning Sergio Reguilon should finally give United a natural option there.
At centre-half, Raphael Varane should be fit to start here after Ten Hag said he was ready to return via club media. Next to Varane, Harry Maguire who had an outstanding game for England against Italy.
Moving into midfield, with Casemiro out, Sofyan Amrabat is the obvious choice to fill in that position.
Either side of the Moroccan, Mason Mount will look to continue improving. Bruno Fernandes will be the other midfielder, fresh off a top-class spell with Portugal.
The right should see the complete return of Antony. This should be beneficial to United, with his return meaning Bruno can move back into midfield.
On the left, Marcus Rashford who has been really disappointing this season, should use his England goal as a confidence booster.
Up-front Rasmus Hojlund should start again as he searches for his first Premier League goal.
Manchester United predicted XI: Onana; Dalot, Varane, Maguire, Reguilon; Amrabat, Mount; Antony, Fernandes, Rashford; Hojlund
