Our predicted MUFC XI for a vital Premier League game away at Chelsea is now in…

After drawing 1-1 away at Brentford over the weekend, Manchester United are feeling the pressure for a place in next season’s Champions League.

Erik ten Hag’s side haven’t been consistent all season long and it really does feel like one or two more poor results could end any slim hopes of putting pressure on both Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur.

The games do not get any easier. Next up, Chelsea away. Stamford Bridge has always been an unhappy hunting ground for the Red Devils and this fixture will be just as tough.

Ahead of the match, there has been mixed injury news. We’ve lost Victor Lindelof and Lisandro Martinez for the next month, though a trio of players have returned to training.

This is exactly the type of fixture where United just need to play their best team and give themselves the best chance at a positive result, so let’s give you the full run down…

Check out our predicted MUFC XI vs Chelsea in full here:

Andre Onana will start in between the sticks after a MOTM performance last time out. The man from Cameroon has been excellent of late.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka will move back to a more familiar right-back role here, with Diogo Dalot shifting over to the left-back spot. Raphael Varane and Harry Maguire have both trained ahead of this one, so both will start. Whether they have 90 minutes in their legs is another matter entirely.

Kobbie Mainoo has been the shining light in the outfield positions for several months now. He is among the first names on the team sheet. Casemiro will sit in alongside the Englishman, with Bruno Fernandes making up the midfield trio.

Rasmus Hojlund hasn’t quite got going since returning from injury, though he is presented with another opportunity here. Marcus Rashford will play, as will Amad. I’ve gone for the Ivorian over Alejandro Garnacho who definitely needs some rest.
