Our predicted MUFC XI for the away game vs Brighton is now in, with the Red Devils looking to make it two wins from two to start the 2024/25 Premier League season.

Manchester United won their opening Premier League fixture for the first time under Erik ten Hag last week, beating Fulham 1-0 late on.

The result itself wasn’t convincing. The performance was certainly better. The Red Devils will have to continue to improve this week, taking on an excellent Brighton side in their own back yard. They will be confident after an excellent result for themselves last weekend, too.

Ten Hag has some tough team news decisions to make here. Is Joshua Zirkzee now ready to start? What about Matthijs de Ligt? Maybe even Alejandro Garnacho comes in? I guess these are some nice problems to have, highlighting that there is far more squad depth available to the gaffer this time around.

Anyway, without further ado, let’s give you the full run down of our predicted team news for this important enocunter.

Check out our predicted MUFC XI vs Brighton in full here:

Andre Onana will start in between the sticks, with the man from Cameroon looking to prove that he is worthy of that position.

Noussair Mazraoui was brilliant on debut and he will start again here. Over in the left-back role, Diogo Dalot continues in Luke Shaw’s absence. Lisandro Martinez starts, partnering Harry Maguire. The back line were all superb so they deserve another chance to play together.

Casemiro has looked excellent in his most recent couple of matches so let’s keep that positive momentum flowing, with the Brazilian allowing both Kobbie Mainoo and Mason Mount to play higher up the field and lead the press.

Marcus Rashford will keep his place here, with the Englishman looking to find some form. Amad starts on the right-wing, with Bruno Fernandes continuing in that false nine position.
