Man United have Michael Olise high on their summer transfer wishlist, with a player open to the move.

Manchester United are certainly going to head in a different direction under INEOS’ ownership. Sir Jim Ratcliffe now has taken charge of footballing operations, looking to end the slump that his boyhood club are on.

His first summer transfer window in charge will paint a clearer picture of Ratcliffe’s long-term plans and vision. It’s about setting off on the right foot and giving the fans a feeling of positivity and happiness.

Several names have already been linked with an Old Trafford switch this summer, though the latest from Football Transfers‘ Jaque Talbot sees a couple of familiar names thrown back into the ring; Jarrad Branthwaite and Michael Olise.

We’ve already covered some Branthwaite news recently, so here we’ll focus in on Olise. The Crystal Palace man has seen his stock rise after some excellent performances over the last couple of seasons. As a result, the so-called ‘big clubs’ are starting to take note, including United.

It’s stated that the English attacker is ‘high’ on INEOS’ list of United transfer targets, as the Reds prepare for a squad overhaul.

Furthermore, the 22-year-old attacker is said to be ‘open’ to an Old Trafford switch, while personal terms are not expected to be a problem.

It is thought that Olise has a £60m release clause in his current deal, which any club can activate.

The performances of Antony mean that the club are on the lookout for a right-sided attacker, while there is still doubt about Jadon Sancho, who is likely to leave the club in some capacity again this summer.

What’s interesting is that Olise has ‘admirers’ at both Chelsea and Liverpool too, though the player is most ‘receptive’ to a potential Theatre of Dreams switch at this stage in his career. This is great news, as United need more players who want to play for the famous crest on their chest.

This would be a top signing if the club could somehow pull it off.

Do you think Michael Olise would be a good signing for Man United? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
