1 goal, 1 assist: Flying United loanee winger continues to take SPL by storm

Manchester United as usual had numerous players in action for their respective loan clubs. To follow all of the United players this season, click here. Ethan Williams The young winger was outstanding in Falkirk’s 3-1 victory over Kilmarnock. Williams opened his account for The Bairns, rounding the keeper and slotting the ball into an empty net. For the home side’s third goal, Williams played a fantastic defence-splitting ball to Calvin Miller, who made no mistake. He had two key passes in the match and a total of three shots. The 19 year old also contributed defensively winning five ground duels for his side. The BBC report that “excellent work down the right from wing-back Ethan Ennis created an opening for former Arsenal defender Medley, who fired a low drive past Owen Evans.” Andre Onana Andre Onana kept a clean sheet for his Trabzonspor side in their 0-0 draw with Galatasaray. He made five saves with three of them coming from inside the box. The Cameroonian made 50% of his passes and just 38% of his long ball attempts. Rasmus Hojlund The Dane returned to the starting line up in Napoli’s 0-0 draw with Como. He had one shot on target that was classified as a big miss in the match. The striker’s header was well kept out but he did complete 86% of his passes during the game. He won three ground duels but struggled in the air, losing seven out of eight aerial contests. Harry Amass The 18 year old left wing back helped his side to a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw with West Bromwich Albion. He completed 74% of his passes but could not complete any of his long ball attempts. Amass won his only tackle attempt and came out on top in six of his 12 ground duels during the 90 minutes. Radek Vitek The Czech keeper has been wonderful so far on loan but he had a nightmare this afternoon as his Bristol City side were demolished 1-5 by Stoke City. He made three saves and had one successful high claim. Nonetheless, he was at fault for one of the home side’s goals. He could also only complete 22% of his long balls up field. Habeeb Ogunneye The young fullback played 89 minutes of Newport County’s 2-2 draw with Gillingham in the FA Cup. The Welsh side would go on to win the shootout 4-3 with Ogunneye now having the chance to take part in the second round of the famous old cup. Dan Gore The 21 year old also played in Rotherham’s 1-2 defeat to Swindon Town. Gore picked up a yellow card in the contest as he struggled to make his usual impact for The Millers. Ethan Wheatley The young striker was also involved for Northampton Town in their 1-3 loss to Oldham in the FA Cup.
