Manchester United Women had numerous players in action on a busy night of international football. Anna Sandberg Sweden lost 1-2 to France in the Nations League 3rd place first leg but the young Swede grabbed an assist in the match. She also won an incredible nine out of ten duels in the match and made four interceptions. Olme also cleared the ball three times in a fantastic defensive effort. Fridolina Rolfo Rolfo was the final Swede with United connections to be involved in the game. She came on as a substitute after the hour mark and won her only ground duel but lost her three aerial duels. Rolfo struggled to get involved, having just one shot on goal and completing only five passes during her time on the pitch. Melvine Malard The French striker was on the winning side against her three Swedish teammates. She played 76 minutes of the match, making two key passes. Malard also had two shots on goal with one being blocked. The Frenchwoman did win 100% of her aerial duels, however. Dominique Janssen Janssen captained her side to a 2-1 win over Portugal in a friendly. She played 61 minutes, making three clearances and an interception. The calm Dutchwoman also won her only ground duel and completed 91% of her passes out from the back. Lisa Naalsund The Norwegian played 90 minutes of Norway’s 3-1 win over Brazil in a friendly. She had a total of two shots and completed her only dribble attempt. Naalsund also won four ground duels and came out on top in one aerial battle. Mared Griffiths The 18 year old also played 90 minutes in Wales’ 1-1 friendly draw with South Korea. She had one effort on goal and completed 79% of her passing attempts.
